Do you want to take on an Apprentice?

We have been dedicated to helping young people find employment and apprenticeships for the last 7 years. During this time we have built up a thorough understanding and knowledge of what apprenticeship training is available. Made solid contacts with colleges and training providers who deliver the training and assessment elements of the courses, and have been supporting employers in recruiting apprentices and integrating them into their business.

If you are considering taking on an apprentice, we make the process simple and easy for you by discussing your training needs, finding a relevant apprenticeship training framework for your business, then contact a suitable Training Provider to deliver the training element on your behalf.

Once you have employed your apprentice, the chosen Training Provider will visit you to complete the funding paperwork and register them on the course. We also keep you informed of any apprenticeship grants that may be available at the time and how you can access them.

It’s as simple as that!

To ensure you choose the right person for your business, we also offer alternative testing methods such as personality profiling, pre or post interview to help with your decision. These comprehensive reports give you an indication of what motivates the candidate, their core strengths and limitations, and their potential. It gives you a list of questions you should ask the candidate at interview to invistgate their fit for the job and your company.

If you have not got the time or know where to go to recruit a young person we offer a full recruitment service.

Advertising a vacancy can generate additional phone calls and emails into your business from applicants. If you do not have time to talk to every applicant, read every CV and reply to every email and postal application, we can deal with all this for you.

Simply fill in the Job Vacancy form opposite and tick the box next to ‘Full Recruitment Service’ required and we do the rest.

This includes:

  • Applications coming directly to us so your inbox does not get filled up and your phone lines get blocked missing valuable sales calls.
  • We screen every application and read every CV, replying to every applicant on your behalf, putting your company in a good light with applicants.
  • We pre-interview candidates over the phone to eliminate time wasters.
  • Then draw up a shortlist of upto three totally suitable people for you to interview.
  • Before you see them we make sure to check and verify candidate’s details and credentials to save you time and give you peace of mind knowing the candidate is who they say they are.
  • If you are not used to interviewing people this can be just as nerve racking for you as it is for the candidate! We help you to create a list of competency based questions designed around what you are looking for from your new employee in terms of skills to do the job and personality to fit in with your company culture.
  • Making and managing offers of employment can be very time consuming. We manage this process for you, liaising with the candidate and your HR department if you have one, to organise contracts of employment. We can provide you with an employment contract template if you have not got one.
  • Young people are used to a different environment and daily structure than in the workplace. We give you guidelines of what to include in your induction session and can tailor one for you if need be.

Thats not all…We fully support you and your new employee for up to 6 months and beyond!

It is really important to us that both you and your new employee are happy in your decision, so we make sure to call both of you weekly for the first month. We don’t just leave it there though! We continue to call you monthly for up to 6 months, to ensure your new employee’s transition into the workplace is a smooth one. After that, it’s up to you if you need us anymore.

Cost of Full Recruitment Service

We ask you for a voluntary contribution of up to £250 when your new employee starts employment with you,but only if you are happy with the service we have provided. This money is reinvested in to future JOB ACADEMY programmes to help more young people into employment.

If the candidate is still in your employment after 6 months we will invoice you for a further £295 which pays for our time!
